Why bushwalk with a Club?
Discover new places you may not have had the confidence to navigate yourself, its a relief to know you won’t get lost.
Learn from more experienced walkers, or give back by passing on your knowledge to others sharing your walk
Learn specialised outdoor skills, first aid training and advanced navigation, as well as extensive leadership training
Clubs provide safety and support in case of injury, weather, wildlife and personal security.
Clubs are a low cost way of getting outdoors on a regular basis. With most club memberships under $50 for the year, bushwalking clubs are a great budget-friendly recreation activity
Most clubs have public liability and personal accident insurance, a great peace of mind in case something happens
Build your confidence, abilities and self-efficacy both on and off the tracks
Clubs offer the opportunity distribute loads across the group, particularly on day and multiday walks. Some clubs even offer free or low-cost hire equipment to their members.
Clubs are a source of social connection, sharing amazing experiences in the outdoors, as well as other social activities, with others who appreciate it.
See the list of clubs below, and the link to the Bushwalking Victoria website.
