The Friends of the Great South West Walk are excited to announce that bookings for this year’s FedWalks, to be held on 9–11 October, will open on 12 July to BWV bushwalking club and BWV individual supporter members.
We have a wonderful weekend planned in and around Portland. On Friday evening, you are invited to drop in to the Hub, where there will be food trucks, local wines and an opportunity to meet the volunteers who maintain the Great South West Walk. There will also be a walk and safety briefing.
On Saturday evening, join us for a two-course dinner at the Portland Golf Club, featuring full table service followed by live music. With a touch of the ’70s theme, it will be the perfect opportunity to show off your dance moves!
There will also be a raffle, with plenty of great prizes to be drawn on Saturday night.
And, of course, there are the walks themselves. The Great South West Walk has been described as a symphony in four movements – forest, river, cliffs and beaches. We have selected beautiful walks showcasing each of these distinctive landscapes.
