There are 19 walkers currently registered for this walk, and we would like a few more . . .
We have hired a 24 seater bus, plus trailer for $631, which currently works out at $34.00 per person; this could be reduced if more walkers join the group.
The driver is John Gullock, a Warby Walkers member who is an experienced bus driver, who has agreed to undertake this task for nothing. This is most generous of John since he can easily pick up driving work on weekends as well. (If you asked the Falls Creek bus operator to undertake this trip the current cost is $80 – $100, so we have a bargain!)
We will meet at ROTARY PARK (Not Apex Park) at 6.30am sharp, which means we will start walking at about 9.00am.
Please bring lunch, snacks as well as your alpine walking gear – if you do not know the club’s policy on this type of gear please consult our website.
After the 21 km walk to Pretty Valley dam, we will drive through Falls Creek, and perhaps stop at Mt Beauty for tea with some takeaways.
We will, based upon past similar trip, return to Wangaratta if everything goes to plan by 7.00 – 9.00 pm.
On the day you will be issued with maps, and we will have the regulation club first aid kit and e-pirb with us.
