Lake Benalla and street art : April 4

Eight ramblers, including two “newies” really enjoyed about 6kms of flat walking, firstly around the attractive lake (created back in 1973) and then into the CBD to view about 20 of the town’s impressive murals.

In perfect weather conditions, the group completed the hike by having lunch in the popular, and delightful, Art Gallery restaurant.

Two short walks at Myrtleford.

BYO BBQ lunch to eat following an easy mostly flat loop walk of approx 8km at Myrtleford.

BBQ lunch near the Historic Kiln at Rotary Park.

A short hard walk of approx 4km, with a climb up Reform Hill is also an option for those inclined.


Sunday, 15th to Sunday, 22nd April is the great Week away at Portland.

Two walks have been organised for each of the six active days, with Wednesday planned as the rest day.

With a record 42 members coming, some walks groups will have be divided in two!!

Browsing Beechworth in Autumn.

An easy walk of approx 6km along the pathways and streets of old Beechworth, including Silver Banksia Walk along Spring Creek.

Lunch in the Chinese Gardens, then some of the town section of the Beechworth Tree Walks, and references to the town’s history.

Timed for the Autumnal Spectacular – so bring your camera!
