Week Away 2017 : Talbingo, in the north of Kosciusko National Park

The Warby Range Bushwalkers week away for 2017 will be held in the northern part of Kosciusko National Park.

The basic details of this great event are as follows,

  • Sat April 22 – an optional goldfields walk at Adelong on the way to Talbingo
  • Sun April 23 – an Easy Graded short walk(s) to gain our bearings
  • Easy/Medium and Hard Graded walks during the week, including a visit to Yarrangobilly Caves.
  • We have contacted the local Tumut Bushwalking club who will help us plan the many graded walks for the whole week.
  • Accommodation is at the Talbingo Mountain Retreat, Whitty Street, Talbingo NSW 2720

  • Booked from Sat April 22, 2017 till Sat. April 29, inclusive (arrive and leave on a Saturday)
  • We have reserved a 30 bed lodge and a 12 bed lodge. Some rooms have 2 beds separate and some rooms have interconnecting doors.
  • Cost – $26.00 per person per night or $182.00 for 7 nights accommodation
  • Each lodge has its own kitchen, food space and dining area. We have also booked the commercial kitchen and the 150 seat hall for $200.00
  • Five BBQ’s on site, nearby shops and a laundry
  • The team system will again be utilised to prepare, cook, serve and clean up a three course dinner on one night only. More information will be provided closer to departure. Simple and wholesome meals will be the go, and will equate to a cost per person of $10 per day. We will also have one night dining out, venue yet to be finalised.
